A 20-minute Podcast Mon-Fri

August_

A daily meditation sourced from the mind of St. Augustine — researched by an LLM, written by a human, voiced with the help of a neural network.

St. Augustine with the wrod above August_.
01 The Format

Twenty minutes. Every day. A single voice walking slowly through the questions Augustine of Hippo could not stop asking.

Each episode mimics his rhythm — the address to God, the turning of the question inward, the slow undoing of one's own argument until something truer can take its place. It is not a lecture and it is not a sermon. It is a thinking-out-loud.

Soft fog hanging low over rolling fields at dawn, with the first warm light breaking on the horizon.
02 The Proof of Concept

August_ is, plainly, a proof of concept — that humans, aided by a neural network, can create for the edification of others and not only at their detriment.

My intention is to help myself and others see large language models and AI agents not as the thing itself, but as a new way of interfacing with technology — the same way touch screens and voice activation are not the computer, but a means of speaking to the underlying ones and zeros.

03 An Invitation

“Thou hast made us for Thyself, and our heart is restless until it finds its rest in Thee.”
